ABOUT NOVA SCOTIA:  Born in Tibet in 1939, Chögyam Trungpa was eleventh in the line of Trungpa tülkus, important figures in the Kagyu lineage, one of the four main schools of Tibetan Buddhism.   Trungpa visited Nova Scotia for the first time in 1977.  In 1983 he established Gampo Abbey, a Karma Kagyü monastery in Cape Breton.   In 1986 he moved his home and Shambala's international headquarters to Halifax.  It is noted that Trungpa chose Nova Scotia because he felt that the province's energy

'is second only to Tibet'.
