Mantras and Meditations

The Sarvesham  mantra  (below) is a divine chant for peace, compassion, and prosperity

across the Universe.

Through this mantra, we seek the brother/sister-hood of our humanity and seek well-being for all.

Be it a person, an animal, or plants.

This feeling of infinite empathy and kindness is

what makes this mantra perfect for the

empaths of the world.

'The Women’s Inter-Church Council of Canada supports  World Day of Prayer'.

Imagine Christians from over 170 countries coming together in spirit, uniting on a common day to pray for relevant issues affecting women and children.  This movement has been active for nearly 100 years.

Each year, a different country writes the service materials.

The World Day of Prayer is generally celebrated on the first Friday of March.  In 2024, the writing committee was from Palestine and the 2 videos below  show the wonder of what can happen when people around the world unite:  “I Beg You... Bear With One Another in Love”

In 1992, the Prime Minister of India, Shri Chandra Shekhar, addressed the Kripalu Ashram in Lenox, Massachusetts, USA about living a virtuous lifestyle inspired by yogic principles. While visiting, he saw Gurudev Shri Amritji’s expansive yoga stewardship and keen ability to share the ancient wisdom of India worldwide. Soon after, Shri Chandra Shekhar was moved to nominate Amritji for the prestigious award of “Padma Vibushan”, the second-highest civilian service award given in India.  How sad that in 1994, Yogi Desai was accused of participating in  an extra-marital affair which led to his departure from the U.S. for a period of time.  After soul-seeking in India, sincere public apologies, and forgiveness from his wife ... Yogi Desai returned to the U.S. to open the Amrit Institute in Florida in hopes of continuing to share all that he learned from Bapuji, scars and all.  The valuable teachings continue through all of us who are scarred, imperfect sinners.
