Musical Duet ACACIA has been sharing music from a wide variety of genres since the turn of the millennium (2000). Gail and Wayne are partners in every sense. From their initial days as members of the Christian Rock Bank HOLY SMOKE, to their current bookings ... music continues to be a thread that weaves through their existence as a couple.
Their Repertoire
Their list of popular radio favourites is long: Country, Rock, Easy-listening, Folk, Old Time, Gospel, Blues, Jazz ... if you request it, they will attempt it. From Patsy Cline to Miranda Lambert; from Loretta Lynn to Stevie Nicks; from Dolly Parton to Norah Jones and Allison Kraus. And not just the female vocalists recordings: from Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young to Chris Stapleton; from The Eagles to Lynard Skynard; from Hank Williams to The Bee Gees. These are the songs that they share when invited to Coffee Houses, Fundraising Events, Pubs, Weddings and other occasions.

Their Christian song list also grows annually, and includes well-known hymns of long ago as well as the more contemporary worship music that you'll hear on today's radio stations like Inspire.FM shared across Atlantic Canada. Their 2007 recording entitled WHAT MATTERS (Christian originals) can be purchased directly through this website or via this link to BANDCAMP. And, they have shared their music ministry during many Celebration of Life services, understanding the tenderness required for families at that time.

So it goes without saying that Kirtan (mantras and chants from the ancient texts of India shared with a group) was inevitably added to their diary of favourite musical experiences. Following in the ambiance of Deva Premal & Mitten; Krishna Das, RASA and others ... they open their hearts to hopefully touch yours.
